IAVS Test Prerequisites

Bronze Level Evaluation:

Bronze Level Test Prerequisite:

• Must be able to sing
  1. 3 English musical theater songs
  2. 3 American Songbook songs 
  3. 3 Indonesian classics.

Singing performance:

1. One musical theater piece
2. One Indonesian classic piece

Silver Level Evaluation:

Silver Level Test Prerequisite:

• Must be able to sing
  • 3 rock songs
  • 3 pop R&B songs
  • 3 pop Indonesian songs

Singing performance:

1. One English pop, rock, or R&B song
2. One Indonesian pop, rock, or R&B song

Gold I Level Evaluation:

Gold Level I Test Prerequisite:

• Must be able to sing 5 cover songs with a different style than the recorded version.
• Must have already performed 2 songs in an open mic event.

Singing performance:

• One Indonesian or English pop, rock, or R&B song cover with different style than the original
• One original song 

Theory assessment:

• Major solfeggio, one octave

Gold II Level Evaluation:

Gold Level II Test Prerequisite:

• Same as Gold Level I, with the addition of having written at least 1 original song.

Singing performance:

1. One Indonesian or English pop, rock, or R&B song cover with different style than the original
2. One original song 

Theory assessment:

• Basic ear training – Triad chords identification

Platinum I Level Evaluation:

Platinum Level I Test Prerequisite:

• Must have written and produced 2 original songs.

Singing performance:

• Two original songs

Theory assessment:

• Basic music production knowledge

Platinum II Level Evaluation:

Platinum Level II Test Prerequisite:

• Must have released a song on a streaming platform.
• Must have completed a recital or concert performance.

Singing performance:

• Recital performing 5 songs
